Roque is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a EMDR Therapist with a passion for helping clients, both adults and children, navigating a variety of mental health and behavioral challenges, particularly those stemming from trauma. Utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Roque helps individuals overcome the impact of past traumas, enabling them to embrace the present more fully.
In addition to EMDR, Roque employs a Solution Focused Approach, emphasizing future-oriented and goal-directed strategies to empower clients in finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems. This short-term, hope-friendly therapy technique fosters behavior change and empowers clients to achieve sustainable progress.
Roque also specializes in Trauma Informed Care Parenting Techniques, utilizing the Trust Based Relational Intervention model to support parents in navigating the complexities of raising children who have experienced trauma.
With a Master of Science in Family and Youth Services from Bellevue University, Roque brings over a decade of experience in various mental health organizations across Palm Beach, Broward, and the Treasure Coast. From providing therapy to children in foster care to managing emergency shelters and leading teams in providing parenting support and behavioral interventions, Roque has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals and families.
Outside of work, Roque enjoys spending time with his family in Jupiter, where he resides with his wife and four teenagers. An avid lover of the outdoors, Roque can often be found camping, biking, and exploring both local and international destinations.
